⚙️ Additional Settings
The Additional Settings menu houses several powerful, specialised toggles that can drastically enhance how Optiply calculates forecasts and manages your supply chain data.
Because many of these toggles fundamentally alter the core purchasing workflow or unlock premium modules, they are locked by default.
If you need to make changes to any of the settings in these sections, please contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM) or email support@optiply.nl.
To view these configurations, navigate to Settings in the main top menu, then open the Additional settings dropdown in the left-hand sidebar.
📦 1. Inventory Control
This section contains toggles that directly influence how Optiply's algorithm reacts to low stock and maximum capacities.
Backorders: Turn this on to allow the system to generate emergency orders to replenish negative stock levels, restoring your inventory to zero or matching the supplier's minimum stock settings.
Lost Sales: Turn this on to allow Optiply to generate emergency proactive orders to recover potential sales lost due to stock unavailability (based on your specific supplier settings).
Product maximum stock level: Allows you to set a hard "ceiling" value for stock on a desired product. (Note: If activated, the system will always create an order to bring the stock exactly to the amount set).
Time-dependent stock position: When activated, the algorithm only counts incoming stock if it is scheduled to arrive within the current order cycle, rather than blindly counting all total stock on order regardless of its ETA.
Advanced categorisation: Activates the ABC-XYZ classification matrix, adding a second dimension to further optimise your assortment management.
🗃️ 2. Data Management
This section controls how bulk data is allowed to flow in and out of your Optiply environment.
Imports: Toggle on to allow CSV/Excel files to be manually imported into Optiply (e.g., bulk updating supplier Minimum Order Values).
Exports: Toggle on to allow files and reports to be exported out of Optiply.
Workflows: Activates step-by-step flows that let you adapt Optiply to your unique supply chain processes, moving your account towards 100% purchasing automation.
🔀 3. Miscellaneous
This final section houses powerful structural features that dictate how your warehouse operates physically and logistically.
Promotions: Activates the Promotions module, allowing you to create and track marketing campaigns that artificially influence Optiply’s demand forecast.
Multi-supplier: Allows you to link more than one supplier to a single webshop product.
Containers: Activates the Container module, allowing you to manage large shipments efficiently based on product weights and cubic volumes.
Assembly: Activates the Assembly module, allowing you to manage your production process with a clear overview of orders, deliveries, composed products, and their raw parts.
Edit buy orders: Allows you to manually edit placed buy orders directly from the Deliveries page.
❓ 4. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Why are all the toggles on the Additional Settings pages greyed out?
These toggles control advanced structural features that can drastically change how your purchasing algorithm behaves (and some features may incur extra fees depending on your subscription tier). To prevent accidental disruptions to your purchasing strategy, these toggles are locked.
How do I turn one of these features on?
If you see a feature you would like to utilise (like Multi-supplier or Containers), simply reach out to your dedicated CSM or contact support@optiply.nl. Our team will review your account, explain any potential billing changes, and unlock the feature for you!
