Setting up a connection between Optiply and Odoo is a straightforward process. Before connecting to Optiply, you need to locate a specific credential within your Odoo account: your Database Name.
Here is a step-by-step guide to getting connected.
Step 1: Log in to Odoo
Navigate to the Odoo login page: https://www.odoo.com/web/login
Enter your standard Odoo administrator credentials to log in.
Step 2: Retrieve Your Database Name
Optiply requires your specific Odoo Database Name to establish the connection.
Once logged in, click on your Profile Icon located in the top-right corner of the screen.
From the dropdown menu, select My Databases.
Locate your Database Name in the list that appears. Copy this name or write it down, as you will need it for the next step.
Step 3: Connect to Optiply
Now that you have your Database Name, you can finalise the connection in the Optiply platform.
Log in to your Optiply account.
In the left-hand menu, navigate to Settings β Integrations.
Click on Add a source and select Odoo.
A connection form will appear. Fill in your Odoo credentials, making sure to input the Database Name you retrieved in Step 2.
Click Connect.
That is it! Your connection is now established, and Optiply will begin synchronising your data.

What other credentials do I need besides the Database Name?
When you reach the Optiply connection screen, you will typically need to provide your Odoo URL, the Database Name you just located, and your Odoo Username and Password (or API Key, depending on your specific Odoo security setup).
I don't see "My Databases" in the menu. What should I do?
If you do not see this option, you may not have the necessary administrative privileges on your Odoo account. Please contact your internal Odoo system administrator to retrieve the Database Name.
