π Connecting BigCommerce to Optiply
Connecting your BigCommerce account to Optiply is a simple, two-part process. First, you need to generate credentials inside BigCommerce, and second, you enter those credentials into Optiply to establish the link.
Step 1: Create an API Account in BigCommerce
Log in to your BigCommerce admin panel.
Navigate to Settings β API β Store-level API accounts.
Click the button to Create API Account.

Configure the Account details:
Token Type: Select
V2/V3 token.Name: Enter
Optiply API.OAuth Scopes: Select Read-Only access for the following scopes:
Products
Orders
Order Transactions
Save the account.
Copy your Credentials: Once saved, BigCommerce will show you a set of credentials. You must copy and save the following two items:
BigCommerce API Access Token
Store Hash

π‘ Tip: Finding the Store Hash. The Store Hash is often found within the API Path provided on the credentials screen. It is the alphanumeric string inside the URL (e.g., inside https://api.bigcommerce.com/stores/xyz123abc/v3, the hash is xyz123abc).
Step 2: Add BigCommerce as a Source in Optiply
Log in to your Optiply Account.
Go to the Settings page and navigate to Integrations.

Click Add New Integration and select BigCommerce as the source.

Click Next.
Enter Credentials: Paste the API Access Token and Store Hash you copied in Step 1.

Click Connect.
Your connection is now established! The synchronisation process will begin automatically.
If you encounter any errors during the connection process or cannot find your Store Hash, please reach out to us at support@optiply.nl or via the chat widget. We are happy to help!
β Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Do I need "Modify" access for the API scopes?
No. Optiply primarily reads data (Products, Orders) to calculate forecasts. "Read-Only" access is sufficient for the basic setup unless you are using specific write-back features (like Purchase Order export), in which case support will advise you.
How long does the initial sync take?
This depends on the size of your catalogue and order history. Small stores may sync in minutes, while stores with thousands of SKUs may take an hour or more to fully populate data in Optiply.
Where do I find my Store Hash if I lost it?
If you closed the window without copying it, you can usually find your Store Hash in your BigCommerce store URL (the part store-xxxxxx or similar identifier) or by editing the API account you just created.
