πŸ“₯ Import: Promotions

If you are running major campaigns and need to create multiple promotions at once, you can skip the manual dashboard setup and send us your promotion data in bulk!

By providing a structured CSV file, our team can upload your expected sales uplifts directly into the system to ensure your purchasing advice accurately reflects your upcoming campaigns.

⚠️ Feature Availability:

Please note that the Promotions feature is unavailable in the Optiply Lite version. You must be on a standard or advanced tier to utilise promotions and bulk promotion imports.

πŸ—‚οΈ 1. The CSV File Structure

To import your promotions, your data must follow a strict structure. Make sure your .csv file contains the exact columns listed below.

Note: For a deeper dive into what these specific uplifts mean and how promotions are calculated, please check out our detailed Promotions Page.

🏷️ 2. Special Case: Close-Out Promotions

If your goal is to set up a close-out promotion (to phase out stock entirely), the formatting is slightly different and much simpler.

To set a close-out promotion, simply enter close_out in both the upliftType and specificUpliftType columns. You can leave the rest of the uplift and percentage columns completely empty for those specific rows.

πŸ“₯ 3. How to Submit Your File

Unlike standard product updates, bulk promotion imports are processed directly by our support team to ensure your sales forecasts are calculated flawlessly.

Submission Checklist:

  1. Format your data: Ensure your file is saved specifically as a .csv (comma-separated values) file.

  2. Name your file: You must include the date of formatting in the file name (e.g., Promotions_2026-03-13.csv).

  3. Review and confirm: Double-check your dates and percentages for any errors or typos.

  4. Send it in: Email your completed file to support@optiply.nl or by chat message.

Once received, our team will process the list for you as soon as possible.

❓ 4. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How long does it take for my bulk promotions to appear in Optiply?

Because this is a manual import handled by our team, please allow up to 24 hours for your promotions to be processed and reflected in your dashboard.

I am on Optiply Lite. Can I still send a CSV for my promotions?

Unfortunately, no. The entire Promotions feature (including both the dashboard tool and the bulk import option) is unavailable on the Optiply Lite version.

Do I need to fill out both the SKU and EAN codes?

No. It is best practice to provide the primary identifier your system uses to track the product. Make sure the codes you provide exactly match the product data already existing within your Optiply environment.
