πŸ”— Connecting Bol.com to Optiply

Connecting Bol.com to Optiply allows you to import sales data to enhance your forecasting accuracy. This integration is designed specifically to capture orders fulfilled by Bol.com (FBB / LVB).

1. Prerequisites

Before starting the setup, ensure you have the following information:

  • API Client ID

  • API Client Secret

  • Shop Name

  • Product Identifier: You must decide whether to match products using EAN or SKU.

Matching Logic: This identifier is used to link Bol.com sales to the products already in your Optiply account (imported from your main webshop or ERP). If your main system uses EANs, you must select EAN here.

2. How to Generate API Credentials

Follow these steps within your Bol.com seller account to create an API user.

Step 1: Access Settings

Log in to your Bol.com account. Click on your shop name in the upper right corner and select Instellingen (Settings).

Step 3: Create Client Credentials

Scroll down to the "Client Credentials" section. Click the Manufacture (or "Aanmaken") button to create a new user. Enter a name for the API user (e.g., "Optiply").

⚠️ Critical Warning: Disable Translation

If your web browser is automatically translating the page (e.g., Dutch to English), it may alter the text of the generated Client ID, making it invalid. Disable all browser extensions/translations before clicking the "Manufacture" button.

Step 4: Save Your Keys

Once created, you will see two keys. Copy them immediately, as you will need them for Optiply:

  • Client ID

  • Client Secret

3. Data Scope

It is important to understand what data is synchronised:

  • Products: We do not import full product data or create new items from Bol.com. We simply scan the SKU or EAN to match sales data to products that already exist in Optiply from your primary source.

  • Sell Orders: We only import orders that are fulfilled by Bol (FBB) / Logistiek via Bol (LVB).

4. Connect to Optiply

  1. Log in to Optiply.

  2. Navigate to Settings β†’ Integrations.

  3. Click Add a source and select Bol.com.

  4. Enter Credentials:

    • Paste the Client ID and Client Secret.

    • Enter your Shop Name.

    • Select the Product Identifier (EAN or SKU) that matches your primary data source.

  5. Click Connect.

That is it! You are all set.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Why aren't my merchant-fulfilled (FBR) orders appearing?

This integration is specifically built for Fulfilment by Bol (FBB/LVB) orders. Orders that you ship yourself (FBR) are typically handled by your WMS or primary webshop integration, so Optiply ignores them here to prevent double-counting.

My API credentials say "Invalid" immediately. Why?

This is almost always due to the browser translation bug. Please delete the old API user in Bol.com, turn off any translation plugins or settings in your browser, and generate a fresh set of credentials.

Can I use Bol.com as my only source of products?

No. Bol.com acts as a "Secondary" source in Optiply. You must have a primary source (like Shopify, Magento, or an ERP) that provides the master product data (names, stock, costs) first. Bol.com only adds sales history to those existing items.

What if my Bol.com EANs don't match my shop EANs?

Optiply requires an exact match to link the sales data. If your EANs differ, try switching the Product Identifier setting to SKU if your internal SKU codes are consistent across both platforms.
