Setting up the connection between Optiply and Picqer requires a few simple steps. To ensure your first purchasing advice is accurate, you must first verify your data in Picqer and then establish the connection using an API key.
Phase 1: Prepare Your Data in Picqer
For Optiply's algorithm to generate accurate purchasing advice immediately upon connection, it is crucial that your data in Picqer is up-to-date.
Please verify that the following 6 requirements are met in your Picqer environment before syncing:
Suppliers are linked: Every product must be assigned to a supplier.
Prices are set: Products must have both a purchase price and a sales price.
Stock is accurate: Current physical stock levels must be correct.
Open orders are registered: Any purchase orders that still need to be delivered to your warehouse must be actively registered in Picqer.
Lot sizes are defined: The "Order in multiples of" setting per product must be configured correctly.
MOQs are defined: The "Minimum order quantity" per product must be set correctly.
Phase 2: Connect Picqer to Optiply
Once your Picqer data is clean and prepared, you can establish the link.
Step 1: Generate a Picqer API Key
You will need a Picqer API key to authorise the connection. If you are unsure how to generate one, please refer to Picqer's official documentation on creating API keys.
Step 2: Establish the Link in Optiply
Log in to your Optiply account.
Navigate to Settings → Data management → Integrations in the left-hand menu.
Click Add a source and select Picqer.
Enter your Picqer API key and domain details in the connection form, then click Connect.
Finally, fill in your Supplier data within Optiply. We need this specific data to trigger and process your very first stock calculation.

Where can I find my Picqer API key?
You will need to generate an API key directly within your Picqer account settings. If you haven't done this before, you can refer to Picqer's official support documentation for step-by-step instructions on creating a new API key.
Why hasn't my first stock calculation started yet?
After connecting your API key, your first calculation won't trigger until you have manually filled in your supplier data within Optiply. Optiply requires this baseline information to begin generating your initial purchasing advice.
What if my minimum order quantities (MOQs) or lot sizes aren't set in Picqer?
It is highly recommended that you configure the "Order in multiples of" (lot size) and "Minimum order quantity" for each product in Picqer before connecting. If these are missing or incorrect, Optiply's algorithm will not be able to provide accurate, real-world purchasing recommendations.
