Connecting ChannelDock to Optiply allows you to synchronise your inventory and order data seamlessly. To establish this connection, you need to generate a specific API Key and Secret within your ChannelDock dashboard.
Step 1: Generate Credentials in ChannelDock
Log in to your ChannelDock account.
In the left-hand sidebar, under the Configuration section, click on Settings.
On the Settings page, navigate to the API keys tab (located in the top horizontal menu).
Click the + Create API key button.
Name the Key: Enter a recognisable name (e.g., "Optiply") in the name field.
Click Create.
Copy Credentials: A pop-up will display your credentials. Copy and save the following two fields immediately, as the Secret Key may not be viewable again:
Public Key (This serves as your API Key)
Secret Key (This serves as your API Secret)

Step 2: Connect to Optiply
Once you have your credentials, complete the setup in Optiply:
Log in to your Optiply Account.
Navigate to Settings β Integrations.
Click Add New Integration and select ChannelDock from the list.
Enter Credentials:
Click Connect.

I lost my Secret Key. Can I see it again?
For security reasons, API secrets are often only shown once upon creation. If you lost your secret key, it is best to delete the old key in ChannelDock and create a new one specifically for Optiply.
What data is synchronised?
Typically, this integration syncs Products (inventory levels) and Orders to help Optiply calculate accurate purchasing advice.
How long does the initial sync take?
Depending on the size of your product catalogue, it can take from a few minutes to several hours.
