How to: Determine why products with a forecast of 0 exist in my purchase advice

Despite the fact that a product has a forecast of 0, it can still end up in the order advice.

This may be because it is a new product, or because there is not enough sales history available.

Despite the fact that a product has a forecast of 0, it can still end up in the order advice. This can be for two reasons:

  • The product has never been sold. Optiply sees this as a new product. As a result, Optiply advises having 1 in stock.

  • The product has a history of fewer than five registered sales order moments. Here too, Optiply considers the product to be a new product, and it is therefore recommended to order 1.

Optiply has too little information about these products to give good advice. You can see this by the color of the dot on the purchasing page. The red dot indicates that Optiply cannot give good advice and that it is important that you adjust this advice according to your own knowledge.
