π€ Optiply AI Assistant (Beta)
The Optiply AI Assistant is an innovative, in-app conversational tool designed to help you interact with your webshop's data more easily.
Instead of manually clicking through multiple modules to find specific metrics or understand complex purchasing concepts, you can simply ask the assistant! It acts as your personal guide, providing context and answering questions based on the information available within your Optiply environment.
π 1. What is the AI Assistant?
The AI Assistant is a dedicated chat module built directly into the Optiply platform. It uses advanced natural language processing to understand your queries and provide relevant, contextual answers about your inventory, suppliers, and Optiply's core functionalities.
While it is a powerful tool for gathering insights, it is important to note what the assistant cannot currently do:
It cannot automatically place or approve purchase orders on your behalf.
It cannot change your account settings or billing details.
It does not replace the human support team for highly complex technical issues.
Always review the assistant's advice and verify business-critical decisions before acting!
π 2. Where to Find the Assistant
You can access the AI Assistant from any page within the Optiply app.
Look for the Assistant button located in the top right corner of your screen (next to the webshop selector and your profile icon).
Click the Assistant button to open a quick-chat sidebar overlay.
From this sidebar, you can select pre-written prompt buttons (like "What's new?" or "Analyze stockouts") or type your own question into the chat box at the bottom.
For a full-screen experience, you can click the Expand button in the top right corner of the sidebar, which will take you to the dedicated AI Assistant dashboard.
π¬ 3. Using the Full-Screen Dashboard
If you expand the assistant, you will be taken to its dedicated module. This page allows for deeper, more complex conversations and easier reading.
Chats Tab: On the left-hand side, you can view your New Conversation or click into past conversations to review historical answers.
Feedback: At the bottom of an assistant's response, you will see a "Thumbs Up / Thumbs Down" icon. Use these to let our development team know how the agent is performing so we can continuously improve its accuracy!
Follow-up: The assistant will often suggest related follow-up queries (like "Check my supplier data" or "Analyze my stock"). You can click these buttons to continue the conversation without having to type.

Why don't I see the AI Assistant button in my account?
The AI Assistant is currently in Beta. Access is controlled by an account-level setting. If you do not see the button in your top navigation bar, the feature has not yet been enabled for your specific account or subscription tier.
What kind of questions can I ask the assistant?
You can ask for guidance on how to use features, request explanations of specific data points, or ask for summaries of your current inventory health. (Note: Our team will be continually updating this section with specific, approved prompt examples as the Beta progresses!)
Is my data secure when using the assistant?
Yes. As noted in the assistant's recent update logs, we have strengthened data boundaries to ensure your webshop's information remains strictly private and secure while interacting with the AI.
